Posting to blog feature

As I promised a couple of days ago I had implemented the feature and one can post photos to a blog right from Flickr.Manager application.

NOTE: You can post only public (not private) photos into your blogs.

The new feature announce

Yesterday I discovered that it's possible to post flickr photos into a blog (I know I'm stupid). Flickr API and FlickrNet library support that feature so I'm going to implement it soon because I found it extremely useful option. I'm not sure whether it's possible to use all HTML tags in posts but if so visual HTML editor will be available for the option.

Small redesign

Tree where you can select what photos to see (all your photos, by tags, by sets, contacts) have been redesigned a bit. Contacts' subtree simplified by removing node Recent (now if you click Contacts node you'll get recent 50 photos of your contacts) and all contacts' items are the childs of Contacts node. Contacts node displays the number of your contacts.

One more bug fixed

An annoying bug fixed. It was on uploading a photo into Flickr. When you try to upload three or more photos into Flickr and resize some of them into different sizes, the largest size one of them may be reset in some circumstances. Fixed version 1.0.0.253 is available to download.

Progress goes on

I haven't worked of the project for a long time (laziness, holidays, illness, etc.) but now I began do it again. Now I'm working about refactoring of GUI part (implementation of MVC pattern for all GUI code) and do small stability improvements. Only one visible change has been made — delete confirmation includes photo's title.

Serious bug fixed

Since v1.0.0.238 serious bug that caused duplicating Photosets fixed. The problem was when you tried to upload several photos into Flickr and created a new Photoset which included all the photos. In that case photoset with the same name created for each photo uploaded.

Customer’s bug report form

Now (since v. 1.0.0.232) you can report bugs, feature requests etc. straight from the application. To do it go to Help and click Bug report … In the opened window write about a problem and press OK. Don't forget about short description and your e-mail.

Flickr.Manager shortcuts

Here is the description of all Flickr.Manager keyboard shortcuts:

• Ctrl+O — Connect/disconnect to/from Flickr.
  
• Ctrl+L — Open application log where all errors or some useful event are written.
  
• Ctrl+A — Open photo upload form.
  
• Alt+1, Alt+2, Alt+3 — Choose the type of image that is loaded into picture box (1 — medium, 2 — large, 3 — original)
  
• F1 — Open About Flickr.Manager dialog.
  

Improvements in errors’ handling

Automatic submission of all unhandled exceptions that may appear in Flickr.Manager into bug tracking system implemented. Thanks to BugzScout about the feature. I hope it will help me to improve the application. This feature implemented since 1.0.0.229 version.
